No turning back!

What did I just do!?!? I am putting it out to there that I have just pushed the button to complete my registration for the Galloway Marathon training program that starts this Saturday! UGH!! I guess I'm committed now....no turning back.

Background story: Back in June I was thinking about signing up to run the 26.2 with Donna in February 2010. The boys happened to be with us the weekend I was think out loud about it. We were in the car on the way to Costco. Both the boys (and who am I kidding, me too) didn't really know how far 26.2 miles was, so we decided to see how far it was once we got on the highway. It was almost exactly 26 miles to Costco from the exit....Zander exclaims from the back seat "There is NO WAY you could run that far!" so...a challenge from an 11 year old who of course knows everything these days (or so he likes to think)....so of course I countered that with I CAN DO IT! So there you have it, I'm going to kill myself to prove an 11 year old wrong. Great....just great. What have i gotten myself into??????

Busy Busy Busy

We have had a whirldwind crazy few weeks...I started a new job at a fabulous place that involves men tennis and I get to travel (first trip is NY in a few weeks for the big event)...Terry finally came home (his 2-3 week trip turned into 7!)...the boys came to stay with us....Kendall was going bonkers having daddy and brothers home and giving her their undivided attention...

but alas that didn't last very long....now the boys are in Ohio with the grandparents....Terry off for another 2 week adventure (and I'm assured it is only 2 weeks this time)...and Kendall and I are settling into a new schedule wiht the new job.

Is it already the end of July!?!?!?

Kendallism

Terry: Sister what kind of cookie do you want

Kendall: I want a sugar cookie brother.

Guess that's what we get for calling her sister and not by her name.......

ISR Week I don't know it's been too many.....

I can finally see the light at the end of the long tunnel....this week we are wraping up Kendall's ISR lessons. Today she had her swim in light clothes test. Despite the crying she did great. Tomorrow she tests in heavy clothes. Should be exciting. Check out her strong swim at the end.

Ponytails....

Every morning before school when Kendall is eating her breakfast I try to get her hair done while she is sitting in one place relatively still. I usually ask her if she wants one or two ponytails....this particular day she said "THREE!" So I did what any loving mother would do, I gave her three just like she requested

She loved them and even kept them in all day.
