Kendall is loving the new swing we got a few weeks ago. It connects to the garage header so we are able to be out front and visit with the neighbors while Kendall swings and points out everything that goes by-car, truck, bird, airplane, bike, dog, baby. While the swing is fun and Kendall is enjoying using it, it is constantly "swing" then after a few minutes "down" then not much long after it is "swing" and then again after a few minutes "down"....you can see the pattern here.....

Just a Swinging

Hair Cut (or not)
The boys spent the last week with us for Spring Break. One afternoon Keyan wanted Terry to shave his head with the clippers and Terry was due for a hair cut as well. They went out front to cut their hair and of course Kendall had to go too. She was so intrigued by what was going on and wanted part of the action too.....so she insisted on cutting her hair with the clippers (they were unplugged of course) and proceeded to "cut" her hair just like bubba and daddy did.....

Farmers Tan
Poor girl, goes outside for 5 minutes and she is tan regardless if she is wearing sunscreen or not. We were outside all day on Sunday enjoying the fantastic weather and hanging out with the neighbors. Kendall got a water table and swing on Saturday so we put them to good use on Sunday. Here is a glimpse of the end result of spending all day outside.....

While I did lather her in sunscreen on Sunday, didn't really think to do her feet since she was wearing her water shoes...lesson learned.

18 Months
Today Kendall is 18 months old!!!! She went to the doctor last Friday for her well check visit. She weighed in at a whopping 22.6 pounds and 32 inches long. While we were there she only had to get one shot and she didn't even cry. She is one tough little girl. (Definitely doesn't get that from me)
In the last few weeks Kendall has had a vocabulary explosion. She is starting to put two word "sentences" together and is really picking up on what we are saying. I'm trying to get some video of her "talking" so stay tuned.

Suns Game
As an annual tradition, my sister and I take my dad to a Suns game every year for his birthday, just the three of us. We always go the the "Business Persons" game which is an afternoon game. Today we took dad and had a great time. The weather was a little cooler than I would have liked but it was a great game and the Suns actually won!!! They never win when we go to a game so it was extra special this year. We love you dad:)

Good times
It is so good having Terry home! I think it makes Kendall and I appreciate him and each other more. When he is gone it is just the two of us together all the time. It can get a bit mundane. Now that Terry is home the routine has changed a bit (he picks her up from school and usually much earlier than I do because of work) so she gets some one on one time with Daddy and she is super excited when I finally get home. Last night she heard me come in the back door and she was in the living room and screamed (she never screams) MAMA!!!!!!! and came running around the corner to give me a hug and kiss. I almost cried. I don't know if I've ever heard/seen her so excited to see me- I mean she is excited when I pick her up from school but nothing like this. It was like she hasn't seem me in days. It warmed my heart. I love that girl-crazy hair and all!

My Purse
Kendall is really into carrying a purse these days. She gets a little fanatical about it at times.
Here she is with her bag, her baby, and trying to wear my tights as a scarf....

(Yes those are stairs leading up to our bed..yes they are for our short fat dog...long story for another post)
Yesterday Daddy and Kendall went to the store and came home with some pink blocks and a glitter pink "K" purse....apparently she "HAD TO HAVE IT" according to Dad....

Notice her arm, that is how she always carries her purse, with her arm up in the air.
Here she is this morning getting ready to leave for school and trying to get her breakfast bar into her purse to take with her....love that smile:)

CALM
California Animal Living Museum
While in California we went to CALM (see translation above). All the animals were rescue animals that could not be introduced into the wild. It was kinda small and you could get up and close to the animals. Once again the reptiles were the most exciting part of the attraction. There was a huge pond full of ducks that Kendall was sure to point out-DUCKS DUCKS DUCKS- she repeatedly was screaming. It is a wonder they all didn't fly away. We had a great time and Kendall got to try out her new stroller that day too.
