Down the pole
Kendall is determined to go down the pole at the playground by herself....and give me a heart attack in the process....She insists I sit in the chair about 10 feet away while she attempts to go down the pole.

Spring Fling 2009
The Amenity Center had a Spring Fling Party this weekend. Amoung other things, there was an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. They sectioned the kids off by age, which was a great idea. For the 1-2 year olds they basically just threw a bunch of plastic eggs into the middle of the field and it was a free for all. Kendall was really excited and did quite well. She was savvy enough to figure out that it was best to run past the first eggs to the back and get those first that way she didn't have to fight anyone for eggs. I was quite impressed with her strategy! There were also bouncy houses and slides. She wasn't too sure about the bouncy house, she didn't like all the other kids so close to her, but she loved the big slide. The pics of the slide are on Terry's camera so I'll try to get those later. Meanwhile, enjoy a few Easter Egg pickup pictures...and YES i was able to get a big bow in her hair!! (after much pleading and begging and bribing on my part)

Checking out her loot.....
Oh I almost forgot, Kendall discovered the Hula Hoop. I was so funny! She saw some big kids with them and when the put them down she ran over, grabed one, stepped inside and took hold of the sides and started spinning in circles. I was hilarious! she was just spinning around and around. She loved it so much that we had to take the Hula Hoop home with us....fortunately the DJ that had them thought she was so cute he didn't care.

Pink and Green
LOVE IT! My mom made Kendall this cute outfit this weekend. She is wearing it to school today for the spring parade. I bribed her with some Smarties this morning to let me take her picture.
Me: Okay stand right here and look at Mommy
Kendall:

Me: I'll give you another Smartie if you smile and show me your happy face!
Kendall:

Me: Um, okay, not so much happy face this time, try putting your hands on your hips
Kendall:

Hey at least she is actually looking at the camera and not running away these days.
Here is a close up:

And last but not least a great hair shot:

Reptile Love
ZOO-almost one year later

Wow look how much she has grown in a year! and check out that hair:)
Notice the scowl she has in both pics- if you ask Terry, a trait she inherited from me.
A few weeks ago the weather finally warmed up and since we had the boys for the weekend we decided to take a family trip to the Zoo....unfortunately I think all of Jacksonville had the same idea. It was packed! But the weather was so beautiful it was okay.
Kendall really enjoyed it and the boys were a great help with her. Of course she loved the reptile exhibit but I think her favorite part was the new "Asian Gardens" exhibit they have. Since we have an annual pass we got to see the sneak preview of the Asian Gardens and the kimono dragons. Kendall loved the dragons as you can see. She was calling them "GIANT LIZARDS!" and cried when we left the exhibit.

not real, just a statue, but she loved it all the same

And of course she had to pet the Gator statue too:)
