Well, we went to the Doctors today (both the primary and ENT) and the verdict is in.....Monday we go back to surgery to get a tube put in the left ear. We took gamble the first time around by not getting one in the left ear since that ear was never infected, but just as soon as Kendall got the right ear tube, the left ear flared up and has been a problem ever since. While I know that the tubes don't guarantee no ear infections, at least they help to alleviate the pain and pressure when they do come. It will also allow us to use ear drops instead of oral antibiotics if and when an infection does appear.
Kendall absolutely HATES any type of antibiotic!! She will drink a bottle of Motrin or Tylenol-she will even willingly put her tongue out for a Benadryl strip (on a side note, I think all child medications should be offered in strips, stick it on their tongue and there is no spitting that sucker out), but try to give her some "yummy" flavored amoxicillin and watch out-she will actually swing at you and run away screaming when she sees the syringe! We have tried putting in in her food and drink but she immediaely spits it out- she is one smart cookie. We tried to bribe her with candy-since she never gets any- and that didn't even work (I think she may still be a little young for that, maybe it will work in the future). It is a battle and almost not worth giving to her sometimes.
So here we go again and we are hoping for another successful surgery on Monday. Please keep up in your thoughts and prayers.

Please Mom
Harley-the super dog
I have to admit Harley is fantastic with Kendall. She yells at him (SIT, DOWN, NO, MOOOOOVE) constantly-even when he isn't in her way. He also takes her daily beatings, I mean love sessions. She has yet to figure out how to "pet" Harley and instead bangs on him, in a loving manner of course. When she does her antics he just gets up and moves away.
Harley kinda reminds me of Eeyore on Winnie the Pooh and if he could talk, I'm positive that is what he would sound like---All right Sissy--
Princess Cart or Dog Sled?
We tried to put Harley in the wagon and have Kendall pull him but he was NOT having it, so we put Kendall in the wagon and tied Harley to the handle to see if he would pull her. He did for a few strides but I think the leash is too short and the handle was hitting him in the rear (and he is UBER sensitive about his rear-end). I think we are going to try again with a longer leash:)
Who is walking who???
